Dan Seubert

Dan represents developers, property owners, technology companies, startups, investors, family offices, landlords, tenants, homebuilders, lenders, and other businesses in transactional real estate matters. Dan’s primary practice areas are commercial real estate and commercial finance. He has broad experience in acquisitions, sales, leasing, subleasing, development, construction, formation of limited liability companies and partnerships, and commercial debt financing and real estate workout transactions, including real estate secured and personal property secured transactions and workouts.

Prior to co-founding Seubert Frimel & Warner LLP, Dan was a partner in the real estate practice group in the Silicon Valley office of DLA Piper LLP (US) and its predecessor, Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP.

Dan began his law practice in 1989 as an associate attorney with the Palo Alto law firm Ware & Freidenrich. Dan is a graduate of the University of Oregon where he did his undergraduate studies and the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.

Dan has been frequently named one of Northern California Top 100 Super Lawyers, as designated by American Lawyer Magazine and San Francisco Magazine.

Bill Frimel

Bill is a business, technology, and real estate litigator. For over 30 years he has represented companies of all sizes and types as well as entrepreneurs, investors, businesses, and property owners. His practice includes all types of commercial, contract and business tort disputes; intellectual property, trade secrets and proprietary rights litigation; internet, social network, and online review litigation; speech-related claims – including defamation and anonymous online presence; and lease and other real estate disputes. Bill is a seasoned trial and appellate lawyer. He has conducted dozens of trials and arbitrations before juries and judges and argued appeals before multiple appellate districts – two of which resulted in published opinions that made new law in the area of online anonymous free speech. He also has extensive mediation experience and frequently counsels on alternative dispute resolution and litigation avoidance.

Bill previously was a litigation partner with DLA Piper (US) LLP and its predecessor firm Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP where he served on the recruiting and pro bono committees for more than a decade. Bill is a graduate of UCLA and earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Bill grew up in Silicon Valley.

Rachel Warner

Rachel represents developers, property owners, family partnerships, tenants, landlords, investors, lenders, and other businesses in transactional and commercial real estate matters. She has broad experience in commercial acquisitions, sales, leasing, subleasing and general commercial real estate. Before joining Seubert Frimel & Warner LLP, Rachel practiced in the real estate practice group in the Silicon Valley office of DLA Piper (US) LLP and its predecessor, Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP.

Rachel grew up in Menlo Park, California, attended Menlo-Atherton High School, and is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles, where she majored in history and graduated cum laude. Rachel received her JD from Santa Clara University School of Law.

Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing pickleball, cooking, UCLA basketball, Greek mythology, and outdoor activities.

Rachel has been named to the “Rising Stars” list published by Northern California Super Lawyers and San Francisco Magazine.

Jim Anderson

Jim represents developers, property owners, REITs, technology companies, startups, investors, family offices, landlords, tenants, homebuilders, lenders, and other businesses in transactional real estate matters. Before joining Seubert Frimel and Warner LLP, Jim worked for over 32 years at the international law firm, DLA Piper (US) LLP and its predecessor firm, and was a partner at that firm for 24 years. Jim served for several years as the chair of the real estate group for Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP prior to its merger into DLA Piper (US) LLP.

Jim’s broad experience in real estate transactions includes the representation of master developers of large residential developments, leasing of corporate campuses for both landlords and tenants, acquisition of stand-alone buildings and corporate campuses for both investors and users, acquisition of unique real estate assets such as a large island with over 3,000 residents living on it, data center leases for users, financing secured by real property for both lenders and borrowers, and joint ventures for the development and investing in real property.

Jim is a graduate of Stanford University where he did his undergraduate studies in quantitative economics and Indiana University’s Mauer School of Law where he graduated cum laude.

In Jim’s spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, Indiana University basketball and spending time with his family. He also serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for the Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP) in East Palo Alto.

Jim has been a ranked attorney in real estate by Chambers and Partners and one of Northern California Top 100 Super Lawyers in real estate, as designated by American Lawyer Magazine and San Francisco Magazine.

Angela Castro

Angela structures, negotiates, and executes commercial real estate transactions and concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, corporate real estate services, development, and general real estate. In this capacity, Angela is known for finding practical solutions for her clients' problems while providing careful analysis and emphasis on risk mitigation tailored to her clients' strategies. Angela represents clients across a broad range of commercial real estate transactional needs and includes REITs, developers, landlords, tenants, family partnerships, property owners, investors, and other businesses.

Angela previously was a partner with DLA Piper (US) LLP and practiced in the real estate group of its predecessor, Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP. Angela is a graduate of Cal Poly and earned her law degree from the University of Wyoming.

Angela serves on the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together Peninsula.

Angela grew up in Los Angeles.
